The Spa-Francorchamps track hosted the very first European race in the FIA World Endurance Championship exactly 10 years ago in May 2012. The circuit is the only one other than Le Mans to have figured on the calendar every year for the past 10 years, and for the first time since 2019, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will serve as the final rehearsal for teams and drivers before the 24 Hours.
The Hypercar class will once again see four cars competing: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing with two GR010 Hybrids, Alpine Elf Team with one A480-Gibson and Glickenhaus Racing with one 007 LMH. Brazilian driver Pipo Derani will replace American driver Ryan Briscoe at the wheel of the Glickenhaus, joining forces with Olivier Pla and Romain Dumas.
Fifteen cars are entered in the LMP2 class. British driver Alex Lynn is expected to join Sebring winners Oliver Jarvis and Joshua Pierson in United Autosports team USA's #23 OREA 07-Gibson, replacing Paul di Resta. French driver Sébastien Bourdais is set to team up with Nico Mullet and Ryan Cullen in Vector Sport's #10 ORECA, replacing Mike Rockenfeller for this second round of the season, and Alex Brundle will return to represent Inter Europol Competition, replacing Fabio Scherer.
Chevrolet, Ferrari and Porsche will face off in LMGTE Pro. The German marque will be looking to increase its lead in the World Constructors Championship after its double podium finish at the 1000 Miles of Sebring.
The LMGTE Am field will move up to 13 cars thanks to the return of GR Racing's Porsche 911 RSR-19.
