24 Hours of Le Mans - Warm-up session reduced to a minimum

The 15-minute warm-up session is for last-minute checks to ensure everything is working correctly before the start, at 16:00.

There is no time to dither in fifteen minutes. Drivers go through a checklist of details, and settings are adjusted accordingly. Today though, the session was over sooner than planned. First, Romain Dumas (#708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH) went off at Mulsanne Corner. Better in the warm-up than in the race! Meanwhile, the #63 Corvette limped back to the pit lane, nursing a mechanical issue.

Philippe Cimadomo’s substitute Nyck de Vries took the wheel of the TDS Racing x Vaillante #13 Oreca 07-Gibson. The Dutchman did not get very far before a full-course yellow, called to deal with several incidents, stopped him in his tracks. Nico Müller had missed the turn at Indianapolis, taking the #10 Oreca 07-Gibson into the gravel. Then Laurents Hörr made a mistake at the Dunlop Chicane in the #3 while Alex Brundle had to take the #34 home with its left-hand door hanging open.

The Green flag was waved seconds before the session end. All cars had completed at least one lap, four at most.

Nyck de Vries, replaces Philippe Cimadomo (disqualified earlier in the week) at the wheel of the #13 TDS Racing x Vaillante.
