The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Competizione has been unveiled, with the Italian constructor aiming to participate in the FIA World Endurance Championship by mid-season.

At the Automobile Club of Milan, where Isotta Fraschini obtained its first car manufacturer's licence in 1904, the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione was unveiled. The Hypercar was designed specificallly for competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Claudio Berro, director of Isotta Fraschini: "Today, we are exactly where we predicted four months ago when we announced that Isotta Fraschini would be back and that it would do so, according to tradition, with a racing car. The Tipo 6 LMH Competizione is now in its complete and real configuration and the intentions for the 2023 season remain those of competing in the 2023 WEC championship with the race by race formula, as soon as the car is homologated by the FIA. In the meantime, we will be grinding kilometres together with the team Vector Sport to be ready as soon as possible."

The Tipo 6 LMH Competizione is a four-wheel drive hybrid Hypercar equipped with a 3-litre V6 engine with direct injection, turbocharged and installed in the central position. It maxes out at 700 hp with the front axle hybrid system limited to 270 hp. The car weighs 1,000 kg with a minimum weight per Hypercar regulations at 1,030 kg.

The car will be run by Vector Sports in the LMP2 class in the FIA WEC, taking part in its second season at the top of the endurance pyramid with drivers Ryan Cullen, Gabriel Aubry and Matthias Kaiser. Last year, the British driver line-up finished 27th overall at the 24 Hours and 22nd in LMP2.
