In partnership with Rolex, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6 to 16) 21 cars in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Among them, the Audi R8 victorious in 2000.

Unveiled on 2nd february, the entry list for the 24 hours of le mans 2012 has four entries for audi, with two r18 in diesel and two in hybrid version. a dual programme reminiscent of 1999.

Audi has chosen to go in the direction of a closed prototype in its new R18, this architecture had already been seen with the R8C, two of which competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999.
