Following a look at tyres and pit stops, we now turn our attention to driver "comfort," who now enjoy air conditioning in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

There was a time when the temperature in closed cockpit cars reached such levels that drivers would get out after a stint completely dehydrated and often led to a visit to the circuit medical center. To avoid this and assure the drivers' safety, regulations were put in place establishing a maximum temperature, controlled by a sensor. What happens if the heat in the cockpit reaches a temperature above the authorised level? Find out in the following video, where Denis Chevrier, FIA technical delegate for the WEC explains.
