After the administrative and technical checks, team manager and driver briefings, and the traditional group photo, all will be set to kick off the action on the track. The drivers will head into the first 90-minute free practice on Friday 15 April at 12.15 pm local time. They will then take a long break before getting back behind the wheel for another 90-minute session at 4.30 pm.
The race will take place during the day, so no night tests are scheduled. At 9.00am on Saturday 16 April drivers will take advantage of a final one-hour session to tweak their settings for the race.
Unlike the free practice, qualifying will not include all competitors. The cars in the LM GTE Pro and Am classes will be the first to go for 20 minutes at 11.50 am. They will be followed by the prototypes in the LM P1 and LM P2 classes at 12.20 pm for 20 minutes as well.
The World Endurance Championship (WEC) will then leave room for the European Le Mans Series for a four-hour race and will only hit the track again for the six-hour race on Sunday at noon.
Prior to that, fans will revel in the open pit walk for all ticket-holders between 9.45am. and 10.45am, during which drivers will be available to sign autographs from 9.55am to 10.25am, before getting ready for the start at noon.
