The 12 Hours of Sebring (March 16), the trio Ryan Dalziel, Marc Goossens Dominik Farnbacher finished fifth in the GT class. “The car has been pretty well balanced all weekend.”, said Dalziel. “We passed the lead cars a number of times, we have speed in the car and now we just need to work on all the little things. It’s the little things that come together and win championships.”
On the street circuit of Long Beach (20th April), Goossens and Dominik Farnbacher started from pole position in GT, and scored the Viper's first podium. "Here, qualifying counts for a lot. It counts a lot more than Sebring because Sebring is a 12-hour race and this is only a two-hour race” said Farnbacher. ”You don’t have that many chances to overtake here. It’s huge. It's been since 2000 in Adelaide (Australia) that the last factory-backed Viper won the pole position”.
At Laguna Seca (11th May), Goossens and Farnbacher scored their third top five finish in three races in the third round of the ALMS, with fifth place in GT, as Sebring. "The biggest problem on a track like Laguna Seca is that if you're stuck behind traffic, you're demanding so much from your tires and your car that it hurts you further in the stint” said Marc Goossens. “We had some issues in qualifying. We took the gamble of putting on a completely different setup for the race. We have to be pleased by our effort."
The time has come for the Vipers to cross the Atlantic for Test Day (9th June) and 24 hours (22nd and 23rd June), where they will continue to struggle for supremacy with that other legendary American icon, the Corvette.
