The three drivers will share the wheel of the Zytek-Nissan Z11 SN of Greaves Motorsport, entered in LM P2. This class will include no less than twenty-two cars, fifteen powered by the Nismo Nissan VK45DE V8. With competition tight in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and in the European Le Mans Series, this class, which includes prototypes using engines derived from production models, will be just as hotly contested at Le Mans. It is therefore essential to have a quick and seasoned driver.
Lucas Ordonez has already proven himself at Le Mans, finishing on the LM P2 podium at his first attempt in 2011, he was the first winner of the Nissan GT Academy. Jann Mardenborough meanwhile just missed a British GT title in 2012. He runs this year in the FIA Formula 3 championship, to continues his training before the challenge of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
To complete this trio, Michael Krumm, seasoned Nismo driver (Nismo is short for Nissan Motorsport, the competition department of the Japanese manufacturer), will be mentor to his team mates. With four participations and a superb podium in 2002 where he finished third, he still has the ambition to win at Le Mans. Could it be this year? We will find out on the 23rd of June at the chequered flag 24 times.
In this video, Michael Krumm joins the Greaves Motorsport team to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013.
The 90th anniversary 24 Hours of Le Mans will be on the 22nd and 23rd June 2013
