Twice winner at Le Mans and World Champion endurance driver with team mates Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer, André Lotterer describes the Audi e-tron quattro R18 with which the trio won the 24 Hours in 2012. Its carbon fibre body encloses a V6 turbo diesel. Its hybrid system is in the form of two electric motor/generators at the front (one for each axle), which temporarily transforms the car into four-wheel drive. A wide angle camera transmits images on a small screen in the cockpit and replaces the traditional mirrors. All these advantages helped Audi to their eleventh victory in La Sarthe, and both the drivers' and constructors titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship. It is already recognized as one of the favourites for the 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place on 22nd and 23rd June.
