Video : Aerial view of the Sebring 12 hours

At the 12 Hours of Sebring, a group of parachutists from US Special Forces jumped over the Florida circuit.

Since 1952, Sebring International Raceway  (Florida USA) has hosted the 12 Hours. In 2012 it was the first race of the season for the the FIA World Endurance Championship and American Le Mans Series,. The result often predicts relative performance of competitors for the rest of the year, and in particular the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Built  largely on the uneven concrete slabs of a former USAF base, it is a challenge for both driver and chassis.

With 18 wins, Porsche holds the record for victories. Ferrari has 12,  and Audi 10.

This year, members of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), sky dived from 12,500 ft, bringing the starting flag for the race.

In this video, a unique perspective on the circuit.
