The name naturally evokes the region that has hosted the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1923 ... However, this Sarthe comes straight from the Netherlands!
Notable for their orange clothing, Dutch fans are more numerous every year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This interest in endurance racing was initiated in the early 2000s by the simultaneous involvement of the team Racing for Holland (http://www.janlammers.com) and the manufacturer Spyker (http://www.spykercars.com). In the this year's race, the driver Jeroen Bleekemolen (http://www.racen.nl) maintained the tradition on the track, but he was not alone. On the sidelines of the race, the new constructor Vencer (http://www.vencer.nl) presented its future model, the Vencer Sarthe, at the Great Parade of Drivers on Friday. Newly elected the "Supercar of the Year" it was also seen at the contest of elegance "Salon Prive" (http://www.salonprivelondon.com) at Syon Park (London), and caused quite a stir!
In a body that looks similar to the lines of the McLaren F1, the Dutch car conceals a tubular aluminum frame and a large V8 510 hp original Chevrolet engine. Weighing 1,390 kg , it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and reach a 326 km / h top speed. 10 to 15 models will be produced each year and will € 265,000 plus VAT, a price which places it alongside a Ferrari 458.
