Two 24 Hours of Le Mans winners in a historic race in Denmark

Tom Kristensen, the Dane and nine-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, participated yesterday at the Historic Grand Prix of Copenhagen, at home, alongside Prince Joachim, son of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The duo finished second in a race in which also figured Marco Werner, three-time winner in La Sarthe, and Lucas di Grassi, second this year.

More than a race, the Historic Grand Prix of Copenhagen, which exists since 2001, also offered exhibitions, initiations and grouped together professionals and amateurs. The Royal Pro-Am class, in which was entered Tom Kristensen, offical Audi driver, was won last year by Jan Magnussen, official Corvette driver, second in the LM GTE Pro class at Le Mans in June, just ahead of Dindo Capello, three-time winner at the 24 Hours.
