Sportscar fans (with the necessary budget) will be able to buy a version derived from the Hypercar that will compete at Le Mans in 2021 and now Toyota has given us the first glimpse of the road-going version of its future Hypercar, which is still at the development stage. The car was seen sporting a white, grey, black and red mosaic-style livery.
Alexander Wurz was at the wheel for the car’s first drive in “public” (even though the grandstands are empty at this year’s race!). The former Toyota Gazoo Racing driver, two-time winner of the24 Hours of Le Mans (1996 and 2009) showed us a glimpse of the future! While this is still a development version and not the final car that we’ll see on our roads, it gives us an idea of what the future of our sport will look like. Hypercar will be the top-tier of endurance racing from next year onwards.
