A municipality with 5,131 inhabitants situated 10 kilometers from Le Mans, Arnage is a peaceful village in the Pays de la Loire whose activities throughout the year are similar to other cities in the region. However, during the second week of June, the area transforms and attracts thousands of spectators to a specific place where banality contrasts with the excitement that prevails every year.

Arnage at the beginning of the evening. A unique ambiance...	For spectators, the "virage d’Arnage" lets them observe the cars in action up close.

Likewise at the intersection of the D140 and the D139, a few hours every year certain cars have the right to run the obligatory stop. And for 91 years, this turn to the right is a place of pilgrimage to entire generations of 24 Hours of Le Mans fans as the atmosphere is exceptional. The proximity to the cars, the endless action on the track and the enthusiasm of the public make this one of the most acclaimed spots on the grand circuit where no one laments this rural path between the Porsche turn and Mulsanne.

Locked wheels, overruns and sometimes dust-ups: drivers never fail to praise this section of the track of which they are particularly fond as it comes after two important, demanding sections. At "low" speed, a real communion between drivers and spectators is created, separated by a few meters only and where eyes can meet for a few seconds. A monument of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that hasn't aged at all after 81 editions of entertainment, suspense and twists.
