The Gunnar Racing company founded by Kevin Jeannette, Gunnar Jeannette's father, specializes in restoring vintage cars, namely Porsches. He also rolls Porsches in the American SVRA championship like the Porsche RS Spyder victorious in the LM P2 class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2008.

Before returing to the head class in Le Mans, Porsche produced an RS Spyder (LM P2) at the end of the 2000s. The Penske Racing outfit entered prototypes in the American Le Mans Series, winning the 12 Hours of Sebring overall in 2008 with Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard (both official Porsche drivers) and Emmanuel Collard. The same year, the Dutch team Van Merksteijn won in Le Mans with the RS Spyder, shown in action in this video at the Palm Beach International Raceway, near Gunnar Racing headquarters.
