Bruno Famin, Technical Manager of Peugeot Sport has determined the objectives of the French manufacturer for the 12 Hours of Sebring race won by the Lions last year.

"We realized from the first test that our settings were not good. So far, we tested on high speed circuits with a good surface, which does not correspond to the track at Sebring.

In addition, the 908 was designed to be efficient at Le Mans, like its predecessor, the 908 HDi FAP. the Le Mans circuit constraints are different from the U.S. track. So we have made many changes for the race, which will give us a full test session , because nothing replaces the race. At each race, we discover problems that we had never met before.

Our primary objective is to cover a maximum of miles to acquire as much information and experience. The worst situation would be an early exit, which is not unrealistic given the number of cars on the track. The conditions are perfect for a real test in the context of Le Mans: the traffic, heat and dust, which will clog the radiators.

Of course, I'd be happy if we win, but this is clearly not the goal, especially since the Audi R15 + is designed to match the characteristics of the circuit of Sebring and Audi knows their car well, unlike us, despite the thousands of miles of testing we have done. "
