After a 2023 edition celebrating the 24 Hours Centenary with 235,000 spectators in attendance, the date for the 12th running of the Le Mans Classic is programmed for 3-6 July 2025 at the legendary Le Mans circuit.
Patrick Peter (Peter Auto founder and president): We are happy to announce the 12th running of an increasingly important event showcasing the scope of the world's automotive legacy. We are extremely proud the last edition of the Le Mans Classic, initially created in 2002 with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, became the biggest gathering of vintage cars in the world last year. Indeed, 235,000 spectators came to see nearly 800 cars race, almost 8,000 club and collector cars as well as hundreds of exhibitors and attractions. The Le Mans Classic is truly an invitation to relive the history of motor racing and look ahead to its future. Like the 24 Hours, which has always promoted new technologies such as 100% renewable fuel, hybrid engines and now hydrogen in 2027, it was at the 2018 Le Mans Classic that a synthetic fuel was used for the first time in a classic competition. For the record, two of those cars reached the podium, and the effort was expanded in 2023 to open the door to a clean energy competition. I would like to thank our loyal partners who always join the party. We look forward to meeting the fans in July 2025 for a Le Mans Classic that as always will have many surprises in store.
Pierre Fillon (Automobile Club de l’Ouest president): The Le Mans Classic is a must-see event at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. After the historic 2023 edition, we can't wait to see extraordinary and iconic cars on the track again in July 2025. I want to thank Patrick Peter and his teams for our remarkable collaboration which brings to the world the celebration of the outstanding and rich history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
