The Corvette C8.R to make its FIA WEC debut in Austin

After the Rolex 24 at Daytona this past January, the all-new Corvette will take the start at the fifth round of the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship season in Austin (22-23 February). Given the caliber of its predecessors – the C5.R, C6.R and C7.R – people can't wait to see the C8.R hit the track again.

To say this C8.R is revolutionary and is therefore creating quite a buzz is an epic understatement. The latest Corvette's engine is now located in the center rear of the car rather than the front and will make its debut in competition in 2020. After the Rolex 24 at Daytona on 25-26 January 2020, the C8.R will join the field in the FIA World Endurance Championship on 22-23 February for the fifth round of the 2019-2020 FIA WEC season in Austin at the Circuit of The Americas. The car's performance on the track is sure to be highly scrutinized given Corvette's legacy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1999 which includes 10 class wins with the C5.R, C6.R and C7.R.

Entries to the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans (13-14 June) are currently open and will remain so until 13 February.
