The 24 Hours of Le Mans centenary trophy is highly coveted by the world’s biggest carmakers, including Cadillac, Ferrari, Glickenhaus, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota. It will be awarded to the winners of the iconic endurance race at Le Mans on 10-11 June 2023. Until then, however, the trophy – created by the Monnaie de Paris (the Paris Mint) – is being officially presented during a tour of the world’s greatest circuits, the most prestigious motoring events and the leading manufacturers’ premises. Last weekend, for example, the centenary trophy drew admiration at the Finali Mondiali hosted by Ferrari at the Imola circuit. The Ferrari 499P, the prancing horse’s brand new hypercar, was also unveiled for the first time at the event.
Now the centenary trophy is heading to Bahrain for the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). After that, it will go on display at the Rétromobile show from 1-5 February 2023, then at the Ice St. Moritz Concours of Elegance on 25 February 2023.
