The Sarthe based RTKF team won last year on the old circuit and are aiming to repeat that performance on the 1.395 km new track. After the first three rounds of the 2013 Euro Endurance Series they occupy the top two places in the points standing. Undefeated this season and winners at Le Mans in 2012, the crew of the No.1 kart is: Charles Fiault, Antoine Poulain, Antoine Lepesqueux and official Sodi driver Anthony Abbasse. They may be strong, but don'tt forget that since 2009, Sarthe RTKF-1 has been beaten twice ... by Sarthe RTKF 72! Maxime Bidard and Adrien Bloyet, winners in 2011, will be joined by promising William Westerloppe and experienced Arnaud Bouilland. Claude Jamin's team continues to rely for its two French Sodi karts and Italian Parilla engines prepared by Boulineau brothers.
As for the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Tom Kristensen, so in the 24 Hours Karting they have their "Mr. Le Mans" in the person of Wilfrid Lecarpentier. But in June he fell behind his Danish alter ego in his tally of victories and will be keen to score a ninth.
