The 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will appear in the predominantly music-related magazine Rolling Stone - created in San Francisco in 1967 - thanks to a partnership with the ESM team, new to the LM P2 class in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The two No. 30 and No. 31 HPD-Hondas will sport, only at Le Mans, a livery including the name and logo of the icon of American pop culture; a short film in which Scott Sharp's team will star will figure on RollingStone.com and an article will be published in the paper edition.

Born out of the hippie culture, Rolling Stone magazine is available in around 20 countries and has more than 36 million fans across the world, the three titles of the publishing group that owns it amounting to nearly 50 million website visits. The partnership between Rolling Stone and Extreme Speed Motorsports came into existence thanks to Ed Brown, driver and owner of the American outfit's primary sponsor, a spirits marque that has collaborated for several years with the magazine.

The Extreme Speed Motorsports team, which participated in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship with two HPD ARX-03b-Hondas in 2014, will compete in the entire 2015 FIA WEC after having gotten a taste of the championship for the first time last year at Lone Star Le Mans in Austin, Texas. The Florida-based outfit will shelve its aging HPD ARX-03b-Hondas to make room for the newly developed prototype by the Japanese manufacturer, the HPD ARX-04b coupe-Honda.

The driver line-ups have been finalized since early December: Ryan Dalziel and David Heinemeier Hansson, both victorious in LM P2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012 for one and 2013 for the other will support driver-owner Scott Sharp, while the second car will be entrusted to Johannes van Overbeek, Ed Brown and Jon Fogarty.

On March 27th and 28th, the ESM team will be, as will all FIA WEC competitors, at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Castellet, for the official tests called the Prologue, but with a more traditional livery. Only the 24 Hours of Le Mans, third round of the championship, applicable in the partnership with the magazine.
