The new Corvette Z06 GT3.R was unveiled earlier this year, inspired by the 125 victories achieved by Corvette Racing over the last 25 years. It represents the future of Chevrolet Corvette in endurance racing and is set to make its official début at the 2024 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
TF Sport will partner Corvette Racing in the FIA WEC Endurance World Championship from 2024. It is the only team to have scored four consecutive top 2 finishes in the LMGTE Am class at Le Mans. It will be looking to build on this success with a marque whose cars have claimed nine Le Mans victories, four wins at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and twelve top spots at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Christie Bagne, Corvette Z06 GT3.R programme manager: “We are excited to welcome TF Sport to the Corvette Racing family. Tom Ferrier and his organisation showcase the elements we were looking for in a team to run our Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the FIA WEC. We look forward to working with Tom and his team to make the Z06 GT3.R a success in the WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024 and beyond.”
Tom Ferrier, TF Sport Director: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent such an iconic brand on the world stage. Corvette Racing has an immense history at Le Mans and we will be looking to continue that run of success. I’d like to thank everyone at Aston Martin Racing for the support and success we have had over the past six years and seven Le Mans, but now I feel the time is right for a new challenge in the WEC. We still have a job to do in this year’s WEC, now lying second in the championship, and will give it our all to finish on a high.”
