At the Friday press conference, Sebastien Bourdais spoke of team-mate Simon Pageneaud, (who has been brought in to replace the injured Anthony Davidson), and his thoughts on the Silverstone circuit.
Sebastien Bourdais, driver of Peugeot 908 #7: "I'm very happy that Simon came on board. We have a good relationship and are good friends and very complementary. So I'm very happy to be pairing with Simon. We had a very strong showing at Imola, it is a shame we couldn't continue but unfortunately he (Davidson) got hurt but thankfully it wasn't bad and he'll be back in the car soon."
"The track layout is very different (from Imola) and I'm not expecting to have as dominant a weekend as we had at Imola; not that we were expecting to dominate there either. I think the characteristics of our car seem stronger on a track like Imola where we can really be aggressive. On fast corners we were suffering at Le Mans and we can see that it might be a bit of a tougher race weekend, plus it seems we are happier when it is warm. Here it will not be warm. It will be a tough and challenging weekend. The petrol cars are quite strong and it might be a different showing. If it is wet the car has always been understandable and predictable and nice to drive, so hopefully it will be again".
