Teaming up with Jörg Bergmeister, Wolf Henzler and Martin Ragginger at the wheel of the Porsche 997 RSR entered by BMS Scuderia Italia, the French driver won ahead another Porsche, the Imsa Performance Matmut 997 of Narac-Long-Pilet-Lietz.
A Porsche factory driver, Dumas also won the Le Mans 24 Hours with Audi for the first time last June for his 10th participation, winning two major endurance and GT 24-hour events in the same year.
At 32 years of age, he totalises 21 victories in the American Le Mans Series, 3 in a row in the Nürburgring 24 Hours (2007-2008-2009) and 1 in the Sebring 12 Hours (2008). He previously won in the Spa 24 Hours in 2003 with a Freisinger Porsche. The Daytona 24 Hours are still missing in his impressive record, but a win in Florida would give him a unique position in the GT and endurance world as the winner of the 24-hours races of the Nürburgring, Spa, Le Mans and Daytona.
