Team members and drivers of REBELLION Racing are eager to start the 2011 racing season, but will first attend the official testing for the Le Mans Series at the Paul Ricard circuit at the end of this week prior to the 12 Hours of Sebring, the first round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup next week.
REBELLION Racing Team is ready for the challenge! The Lola-Toyota, that will race for the first time next week at Sebring has already left for the USA and the two sister cars were loaded into team trucks, and are en route to the South France.
During testing official Le Mans Series testing, the team will present REBELLION Racing Lola-Toyota's new LMP1 and its crew of drivers for 2011 to the media. For the first time, media will be able to see the red, white and gold cars, powered by the new 3.4 litre Toyota engine RV8KLM.
The six REBELLION Racing drivers will be at Paul Ricard. In the Lola-Toyota #12, the usual drivers Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost are joined by Jeroen Bleekemolen and in the #13 Guy Smith will join Andrea Belicchi and Jean-Christophe Boullion on the track where they archived a podium finish at the opening of the Le Mans Series in 2010.
At the end of two days of tests in the South of France, drivers and team members are heading for the United States for the week of the12 Hours of Sebring where they will join some of the team advance party to supervise the unloading of the third Lola-Toyota and the establishment of their equipment.
