Porsche's GT driver line-ups finalized for the 24 Hours of Le Mans

This past weekend, Porsche took advantage of the Prologue - the official testing sessions of the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) - at Monza in Italy to release the names of both third drivers set to join their head drivers in the 911 RSR at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This year Richard Lietz, winner of the FIA World Endurance GTE Drivers Cup in 2015 with Porsche, will attempt to win yet another crown avec Frédéric Makowiecki in the new #91 Porsche 911 RSR. In June at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Franco-Austrian duo will be joined by another French driver, Patrick Pilet, winner in the U.S. in the GTLM class (the equivalent of LM GTE) in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2015 with the German marque.

The #92 sister car will be entrusted to French-Danish duo Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen (the latter teammates with Richard Lietz just last year). The two drivers will be joined by Dirk Werner (Patrick Pilet's teammate in the U.S.) for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The start will be given on Saturday, June 17th at 3:00 p.m.

Though in 2016, three Porsches were at the start at the 24 Hours in the LM GTE Pro class, there will only be two this year, entered by the Porche's official team.
