The first hybrid car with Intelligent Performance ...

Ferdinand Porsche built the first fully operational hybrid car in 1900. He was venturing into an unknown field of technology. The car, was powered by two electric generators coupled to petrol engines. The "Toujours-Contente" (always happy) could travel relatively long distances.

Over a century later, Porsche maintains its lead in the field of energy recovery. At the 1000 km of Zhuhai last November, the 911 GT3 R Hybrid significantly outperformed all other GTs and saved a pit stop.

At the 2011 Salon de l'Automobile in Geneva, Porsche open a new chapter of hybrid technology by unveiling the Panamera S Hybrid. This prestigious model draws its power from a 333hp 3 litre V6, combined with an electric motor developing 47 hp. The Panamera Hybrid S consumes only 6.8 litres of fuel per 100 kilometers, making it the most abstemious Porsche of all time.
