Porsche clinches a last minute victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans!

263,500 spectators came to watch Neel Jani, Marc Lieb and Romain Dumas win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Porsche 919 Hybrid #2 in a spectacular twist of fate!

At three minutes to the end, the #5 Toyota was heading for victory and suddenly ground to a halt and had to watch the Porsche sail past. After several nail-biting moments it managed to limp across the line only to be disqualified for not completing the last lap within the 6-minute time limit. In the end, the #6 Toyota TS050 Hybrid and the #8 Audi R18 take second and third.

France wins the day in LM P2: Signatech Alpine’s Alpine A460-Nissan driven by Menezes, Lapierre and Richelmi take the trophy.

Ford’s 50th anniversary comeback was triumphant with Hand, Müller and Bourdais winning LM GTE Pro in the #68 Ford GT. Scuderia Corsa’s crew, Sweedler, Bell and Segal topped the LM GTE Am class.

Quadruple amputee Frédéric Sausset, this year’s Garage 56 entry, ran a remarkable race with teammates Tinseau and Bouvet. The car has no official ranking but crossed the line in 39th place overall.
