Take the wheel of the Peugeot TotalEnergies team's Peugeot 9X8 for a high-paced lap of the circuit and get a feel for the never-ending importance of traffic management in endurance racing.
The two Peugeot TotalEnergies Peugeot 9X8s quickly became a fan favourite at the 24 Hours Centenary in June thanks to their performances and special Art Car liveries. The #93 and #94 finished 8th and 27th, respectively, giving the French constructor the momentum to claim its first podium in the FIA World Endurance Championship at the 6 Hours of Monza less than a month later (3rd place for #93).
This new on-board video will give you the thrill ride of your life in the cockpit of the #93 Peugeot 9X8 shared by Paul di Resta, Mikkel Jensen and Jean-Eric Vergne. As the French Hypercar chases down Hertz Team JOTA's #38 Porsche 963, it clearly demonstrates how crucial flawless traffic management is for every driver. Laser focus is a must to balance aggression and experience as they often have to sacrifice time behind a slower car to avoid unnecessary risks when overtaking.
The video below also shows the agility of the Peugeot 9X8 in the Porsche Curves despite the lack of a spoiler. That section of the circuit, made up of fast corners, requires exceptional aerodynamic downforce. Through this technical choice, Peugeot has found an opportunity to generate performance, proving a Hypercar without a spoiler can indeed do well at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
