Pedro Lamy, after second place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Peugeot, has found refuge at BMW for the 6 hours of Imola.
The Portuguese driver will recalls his twelfth Le Mans 24 Hours. "I regret not having more stints", said the former F1 driver. "At dawn, the team chose to focus on my two team-mates and I respected that decision. They were slightly faster than me, so it was logical to make that decision. There are other times when I am faster than my team-mates, as was the case at Spa when I was asked to perform three consecutive stints."
No longer retained by Peugeot this season in ILMC, Pedro Lamy can now devote himself to his second employer. Thus, for 6 hours Imola, he joins Dirk Werner in the #56 BMW M3. BMW occupy the top of the series standing in GTE, ahead of Ferrari.
6 hours Imola will be held from 1 to 3 July. For ticket information, click here.
