Toyota Gazoo Racing has unveiled a new livery for its two hypercars that will compete in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship including the 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans (12-16 June).
In 2024, the Toyota GR010 Hybrids fielded by Toyota Gazoo Racing will adorn a brand new matt black livery. The Japanese firm says that this new paint scheme “represents making ever-better motorsports-bred cars and to keep evolving”. The visual provided by the constructor shows the car topped with a reflective silver-coloured roof. This is designed to curb the temperature inside the cockpit for improved driver comfort. This new decor will also be used in the World Rally Championship and all other competitions entered by Toyota Gazoo Racing.
Pascal Vasselon: “Next season will be even more challenging”
For the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary, Toyota added a touch of cherry blossom to the livery of the two GR010 Hybrids.
Next season, Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries will share driving duties in the #7 car while Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa will again team up in the #8. The Japanese marque has every intention of reclaiming its 24 Hours of Le Mans crown and sealing a seventh FIA WEC title.
