Michael Waltrip, the eminent NASCAR racer will participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 11th and 12th June at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia.
While he was racing in Nascar at Talladega, the American driver announced this weekend that he will drive in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #71 Ferrari of AF Corse. The two-time winner of the Daytona 500 (2001, 2003) will be sharing the wheel with Rob Kauffman and Rui Aguasen in the category GTE PRO.
Michael Waltrip has already tried endurance racing in the 24 Hours of Dubai and the 24 Hours of Spa last year. More recently, he drove a Ferrari 430 GTC in official testing of the Le Mans Series.
