Mission accomplished for Team Extreme Limite ARIC

Just 29 days after its crash at the Spa 6 Hours, Extreme Limite’s LM P2 Norma Judd returned to the track for the traditional test day prior to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The No.43 put down 41 laps with no major problems which was very satisfying for the team’s entire technical department who pulled off an amazing feat to completely rebuild the car in the space of three weeks.

From the drivers’ point of view, orders were to not take any risks and the main objective of the day was to qualify Philippe Thirion who completed his 10 mandatory laps in the morning, finding his way for the first time around the mythical Le Mans track.

For his part, Philippe Haezebrouck quickly got back to last year’s level, and set a best time of 3m58 without pushing too hard.  Fabien Rosier was absent from the test due to his commitments as a race engineer for a team in the Formula Renault Eurocup championship. Of course, during the activities prior to the upcoming 24 hours of Le Mans, he will no doubt seize any opportunity to show his pace.

The team will be together again next Sunday for Administrative and Technical Scrutineering at the Place de la Republique in the centre of Le Mans.
