After being absent from the 2022 calendar, the Michelin Le Mans Cup will return to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain for the Collective Tests on Tuesday 18 April and for Round 1 on Saturday 22 April.
Round 2 will be held at Imola on Saturday 6 May after the series returned to the Italian track in 2022 after a break of six years.
Round 3 is the ‘Jewel-in-the-Crown’ event, the two 55-minute Road to Le Mans races on the full 13.6km La Sarthe circuit. Race 1 will be on Thursday 8 June and the second on Friday 9 June.
After hosting the opening round in 2022, Le Castellet will host Round 4 on Saturday 15 July. After a two month break the Michelin Le Mans Cup returns to Spa-Francorchamps with Round 5 on Saturday 23 September, with the season finale once again held at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, on Sunday 15 October.
Frédéric Lequien, CEO of Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM): “We are pleased to announce the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup calendar with seven races on six top class circuits. Each of the events will be run as part of a festival of endurance racing, with the five 110-minute races running alongside the European Le Mans Series. In June, Road to Le Mans will be part of a huge celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923.”
Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO): “The Michelin Le Mans Cup is a crucial series for endurance. This competition is the first steppingstone for many drivers and teams starting out in the discipline. It offers racers a unique opportunity to get to grips with LMP3s and GTs in a competitive field on some of Europe’s greatest racetracks.”
