Partners of AF Corse in LM GTE Am, Michael Waltrip Racing took their class pole position at the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, while also vying for the title in the American NASCAR Sprint Cup.

September 2012 has been a good month for team owner Michael Waltrip. His entry into endurance racing has brought him his first success: three weeks after the victory of Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci and Matt Griffin in LM GTE Am at the 6 Hours of Silverstone, the Ferrari 458 Italia will start from class pole position at the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, this time thanks to Enrique Bernoldi, Francisco Longo and Alexandre Negrao, a Brazilian trio who know every detail of the Interlagos circuit.

Michael Waltrip Racing, this weekend is also on the oval circuit of the Chicago "Chase", where twelve drivers are in contention for the title in the last ten races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Among them, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr. (Toyota Camry), the two leading drivers of the team. The third car of Michael Waltrip Racing is driven by Mark Martin, Brian Vickers and Michael Waltrip himself. Between endurance racing and NASCAR between Brazil and the United States, two races that are particularly intense for the latter, who could not hide his enthusiasm in 2011 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans ...
