Go backstage at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and follow the cars thanks to Periscope, the mobile app that broadcasts live videos and gives you an insider’s view of any scene.
Nissan was first to use Periscope during a test session at the Bowling Green circuit in Kentucky. Fans were delighted to be able to follow the GT-R LM NISMO. Since then, several teams and drivers have opened accounts and the 24 Hours of Le Mans has followed suit.
The easiest way to set up a Periscope account is to download the application and then open it via your Twitter account. Once you have an account, all you need to do is to follow others, just like on Twitter. It’s couldn’t be easier to follow us. Just add 24 Hours of Le Mans to your list!
If you haven’t got a mobile device to hand, you can follow from a computer. The link will be active as soon as the action begins.
Thanks to Orange’s technical set-up, we will be using this afternoon’s session as a test for next week’s race action, so please be patient while we find our feet! We’ll be filming at speed and let’s not forget that the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO, the Porsche 919 Hybrid and the Toyota TS040 Hybrid are the fastest cars in the competition!
