Green light! The World Endurance Championship that all long-distance fans have been waiting for for twenty years finally kicked off at Sebring with more than 60 cars at the start in the presence of Jean Todt, the FIA President. As expected, Audi won thanks to its old hands McNish-Kristensen-Capello. What more prestigious trio to win this grande première and enhance the renown of endurance racing the world over?
The next day Audi began testing its new hybrid car which uses a different technique to that of its rival Toyota. In the meantime, the DeltaWing and Green GT projects are roaring ahead and give a glimpse of what motor racing may look like in the future!
