The no. 73 issue of Le Mans Racing April 2012 will be at the newsstands on 31st March in the Sarthe, and 2^nd April nationwide.

Green light! The World Endurance Championship that all long-distance fans have been waiting for for twenty years finally kicked off at Sebring with more than 60 cars at the start in the presence of Jean Todt, the FIA President. As expected, Audi won thanks to its old hands McNish-Kristensen-Capello. What more prestigious trio to win this grande première and enhance the renown of endurance racing the world over? 

The next day Audi began testing its new hybrid car which uses a different technique to that of its rival Toyota. In the meantime, the DeltaWing and Green GT projects are roaring ahead and give a glimpse of what motor racing may look like in the future!

Our reporter at Sebring had a busy week and talked to the right people. He met André Lotterer, first WEC pole setter, and Peter Baron, the boss of Starworks Motorsport, the team that’s really hit the headlines at the start of the season.

François Migault died in January. He raced at Le Mans on 24 occasions and has left his mark on endurance. We render homage to him in a 7-page article.

David Price has had a 40-year career in motor sport with its fair share of adventures. He has been involved in both single-seaters and sports cars and has rubbed shoulders with some of the great names in the sport including drivers and key players. He recalls his best - and worst - memories.

James Glickenhaus is an exception in the world of car collectors. He loves Fords and Ferraris, and Julien Hergault went to New York to meet the man responsible for the Ferrari P4/5.

Hexis Racing is out to defend its FIA GT1 World Championship. Before the season opener at Nogaro we visited the Nîmes-based team managed by Philippe Dumas. 

Guillaume Moreau will be our columnist for the 2012 season. The Oak Racing team leader is competing in both the WEC and the ELMS so he has a lot to tell us.
