James Bond's Aston Martin DB10 for sale at auction

Without having to don James Bond's suit, the happy buyer of the Aston Martin up at auction at Christie's on February 18th in London will be able to slip behind the wheel of Her Majesty's most famous spy's DB10 that figured in "Spectre," the latest opus of the saga.

Only 10 models of the Aston Martin DB10 were handcrafted in Gaydon's workshops for James Bond, including two "show cars." One of them will be up for sale at Christie’s to collect funds to, among other things, support Doctors Without Borders and the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) fighting against landmines.

The Aston Martin is among 24 lots ("Spectre" is the 24th film in the series) put up at auction by production company EON Productions as a part of the DVD release of the film in the U.S. and in the U.K., like the Omega watch worn by Daniel Craig, who plays Bond in the movie.

After having spent between 1 and 1.5 million pounds sterling, the new owner will not be able to take the wheel to head home since the Aston Martin DB10 is not approved to use public roads.

The Aston Martin Vantage which, if it is on the invitees list for Le Mans, will take the start at the 84th edition of the 24 Hours, is quite approved as 50 units of the car were built so as to be able to compete in either the LM GTE Pro or Am class...
