After a notable time in F1 , Karun Chandhok became in 2012 the first Indian to take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Finishing sixth in his first start in LM P1, he repeated the same performance on his second attempt, this time in the LMP2 category.

Drive in Formula 1.

Most proud of?
Having realized this dream from a country without a culture of motorsport.

Biggest regret ?
Not having found the budget to compete in the Macau Grand Prix (F3).

My professional ethics.

I do not tell you !

A motto?
Making assumptions are the source of all failures ?

A phobia ?
Ornithophobia , the fear of birds. They terrify me for several reasons.

A grill ?
I stopped eating meat  several years ago.

Music pre-race ?
No. I talk with the engineers.

" Chasing the Title" by Nigel Roebuck.

A movie?
"Very bad Trip ," "Top Gun " and " Gold bar " .

A favourite dish ?
Indian , Mexican and Japanese .

A hobby?
Cycling and swimming.

My parents in India!

Alain Prost , Sachin Tendulkar (cricket ), Roger Federer.

Preferred road car ?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             I'm not a big fan of road cars , but I love my conventional Audi A4.

Favourite track ?
Monaco , Silverstone and Suzuka .

How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Still driving at Le Mans of course!

First 24 Hours of Le Mans ?
In 2012 with JRM Racing (Honda) .

Favourite part of the track?
The Indianapolis corner .

Best memory?
Once arriving in Indianapolis around 3:00 in the morning, there was a lot of smoke and I thought it was a broken engine ... But no, it was a barbecue !

A historic car?
Sauber Mercedes Group C or a Porsche 956.

A former winner as a crew member ?
