Porsche has decided to withdraw from the LMP1 scene after winning new Manufacturers and Drivers titles this season in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC). In its four years of involvement, the German marque earned three world titles, 17 wins in 34 races, seven one-twos, 20 pole positions and 13 best in-race laps.
Among these triumphs figure three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans:
2015: Nico Hülkenberg, Nick Tandy, Earl Bamber, #19 Porsche 919 Hybrid
2016: Neel Jani, Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb, Porsche #2 919 Hybrid
2017: Brendon Hartley, Timo Bernhard, Earl Bamber, #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid

Porsche will still compete in the LMGTE Pro class as announced last Saturday at the "Night of Champions." Indeed, four official Porsche 911 RSRs are set to be fielded at the 86th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 16-17, 2018).
