Cadillac Racing has announced that its FIA WEC Hypercar factory programme will be expanded to a two-car effort next season. The team will be known as the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA. ”We are thrilled to welcome Hertz Team JOTA next year, bringing decades of racing and technical expertise together, to achieve continued success on the track and create new advocates for our brand around the globe,” says John Roth, vice-president, Global Cadillac.
This is a great achievement for Team JOTA, which has always aimed to become a works team. “Having competed against the Cadillac V-Series.R for the last two seasons, we have experienced how competitive it is, and we are genuinely honoured to be entrusted with fielding its cars from 2025 onward,” confirms Sam Hignett, director and founder of Hertz Team JOTA.
The drivers of the #12 and #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.Rs will be announced in due course.
Hertz Team JOTA entered the Hypercar class as a private team in 2023. This season, the British outfit is fielding two Porsche 963s and won the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 11 May. It currently leads the FIA World Cup for private Hypercar teams.
