Pescarolo Team Autovision will be at Imola to defend its leading provisional position in the Le Mans Series. Henri Pescarolo tells how his team is working hard to restore the chassis of the accident at Le Mans.
Henri Pescarolo: "It's hard to recover from the disappointment of a retirement after 22 hours of a fabulous race for the No. 16 Pescarolo in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Poor Emmanuel Collard was even more sorry for the whole team but he was not at fault. Having definitively left behind the other 'petrol' cars, and even threatening the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP of Team Oreca Matmut, it only remained to get to the finish. After a sudden downpour in the Porsche curves, the marshals did not flag the change of grip, and Collard came first into this trap. The accident was inevitable. Seeing the condition of the car and knowing that there were only two weeks before returning to the LMS, we thought for a moment not to go to Imola."
"On Monday morning, we did not take a morning off, the team was already at work, and the diagnosis was that the tub was intact, we could get back a car. All my partners, Autovision course, but also Nerim, Eolen, Renault Rent, La Sarthe, Motul, and others had expressed their loyalty and expressed their admiration for the quality of the team. They were all delighted with the extraordinary benefits obtained in the 24 Hours. They did not hesitate a moment to support us to defend our leading position in the Le Mans Series."
"The work was considerable, but the chain of solidarity instantly started forging, and everything became possible. Emmanuel Collard, Christophe Tinseau and Julien Jousse, put together more than ever, and all members of Team Pescarolo Autovision will be keen to fight again. It will be another opportunity to prove the strength and motivation of the team. "
