The track record of the Porsche 919 Hybrid is remarkable, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times in a row, clinching pole position twice at the race and earning six titles in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) from 2015 to 2017. Though it was officially retired from circuit competition at the end of 2017, it still established impressive records this year at Spa-Francorchamps and at the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring thanks to the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo.
The Evo paid visits as a swan song to the magnificent cities of Shanghai, New York, Tokyo and Paris driven by 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Romain Dumas (with the same car).
And now the 919 Hybrid resides in the Porsche museum on the heels of the perfect 70th anniversary hat tip for the marque this year with an extraordinary one-two in the LMGTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Don't forget: the must-see exposition dedicated to the German manufacturer is in place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans museum until 13 January 2019.
The three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans:
2015 with Earl Bamber, Nick Tandy and Nico Hulkenberg
2016 with Marc Lieb, Neel Jani and Romain Dumas
2017 with Timo Bernhard, Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley
