A long-time partner of the Le Mans Classic, Ford unveils a limited edition of five Ford Focuses. Three of them are dedicated to Ford’s Le Mans overall winners.

The black Focus with two white stripes commemorates the first victory by a Ford at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966. That year the winning Ford Mk II entered by Shelby American was driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, a driving pair from New Zealand.

1966 was McLaren’s 7th Le Mans start, and first finish after six DNFs. In 1967 he competed in the 24 Hours for the last time, finishing 4th with Mark Donohue at the wheel of a Ford Mk IV. For Amon, his 1966 win was his only Le Mans finish in 8 starts from 1964 to 1973.
