FIA WEC: Qatar 1812 KM entry list released

The entry list for the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship has been published. It includes a record 14 manufacturers.

Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Isotta Fraschini, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota will all be on the starting grid of the Qatar 1812 KM and the 2024 FIA WEC campaign.

Check out the Qatar 1812 KM entry list.

Unlike the list published last November, which included at least one driver per car entered, the Qatar 1812 KM entry list reveals the full driver line-up for every car in the field.
Some of the biggest names in motorsport will compete in this season’s FIA WEC, notably seven-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi, and 2009 Formula One world champion Jenson Button.

The 2024 season sees the introduction of the new LMGT3 class based on the existing FIA GT3 platform. The LMGT3 field will comprise 18 cars built by Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren or Porsche.
Leading contenders include the all-female Iron Dames trio of Sarah Bovy, Doriane Pin and Michelle Gatting who will take the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo. José María López, the former Toyota Gazoo Racing Hypercar ace who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, will drive one of the two Lexus RCFs entered by GT specialists Akkodis ASP Team.

The 2024 FIA WEC protagonists will take part in the Prologue on 24-25 February. The two days of pre-season tests, also held at the Lusail International Circuit in Doha, will give teams a chance to find their marks before the Qatar 1812 KM on Saturday 2 March.
