The #9 ORECA 07-Gibson shared by Lorenzo Colombo, Ferdinand Habsburg and Louis Delétraz claimed the top step on the podium at the 4 Hours of Barcelona this weekend. The Italian team has earned its third win of the ELMS season and now holds a 21-point lead on Panis Racing in the provisional championship classification. Ferdinand Habsburg: "We had the quickest car and line-up. We were fast in every part of the race, zero penalties, and that's how we end up winning in endurance racing. The start of the season has been rocky with wins, but also errors along the way, but now we improved a lot and have three wins, it's crazy."
Panis Racing finished the race in second place and COOL Racing's #37 ORECA rounded out the podium.
Inter Europol Competition's #13 Ligier JS P320-Nissan scored its second win in a row in the LMP3 class after Monza. The #4 Duqueine of DKR Engineering and #17 Ligier of COOL Racing trailed the Polish team across the finish line. COOL Racing now has a five-point lead in the championship on Inter Europol Competition and 12 on RLR MSport.
Christian Ried, Lorenzo Ferrari and Gianmaria Bruni representing Proton Competition in the #77 Porsche 911 RSR-19 secured the top spot in the LMGTE class ahead of Spirit of Race's #55 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo and JMW Motorsport's #66. Proton Competition now boasts a 28-point lead on the Spirit of Race team in the provisional championship standings.
