In the early 2000s, Anthony Davidson was one of the British race-drivers to be, as well as fellow Jenson Button. Involved in Honda drivers program, he has been a test driver for a long time and subbed for a few drivers: he raced two Grand Prix with Minardi in 2002 and one with BAR Honda in 2005). In 2007, after five years behind the scenes, he gor a permanent contract with modest team Super Aguri, which went bankrupt the following year. Anthony Davidson switched to sportscar racing that he discovered driving a Ferrari 550 Maranello at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2003 (the car has been withdrawn from the race after he went off during the night). He raced again in France in 2009 driving an Aston Martin LM P1. He held third position for a while and Peugeot noticed how well he performed. He won the 12 Hours of Sebring, his first race with the French manufacturer, and was sucessful at Silverstone, Spa, Imola and Zhuhai. He has been a Toyota works driver since early 2012 and he is now back on top form after a huge crash at Le Mans in 2012. This year, he finished second.
