A gift of retirement: Dindo Capello will soon take delivery of a car that would please many collectors ...

Like his friend Tom Kristensen, Rinaldo Capello is part of the Audi family, for whom the Italian driver won the Italian  Supertoursime championship in 1996. Since then, he has been a works driver for Audi, thus contributing to the entire endurance racing programme of the marque that started in 1999. At the age of 48 and with three strong victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he has the option of taking a step back from competition ... but not too big a step! Because although the the man from Piedmont will not participate in the 2013 endurance season, he can sit as often as he likes in the Audi R18 Ultra with which he won the 12 Hours of Sebring in March ... Gift from a grateful employer!

Meanwhile... the Audi R18 appeared at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vagas where the hybrid version (e-tron quattro) was presented to the public by its drivers Benoit Treluyer, Marcel Fässler and André Lotterer.
