On its 84th running the mythic endurance race will play host to English Group Shake Shake Go, authors of the hit Miracle, Julian Perretta, electric rock duo The Shoes and refined French DJ, The Avener, without forgetting a choice selection of warm-up acts.
The three evenings big concerts, which are free,* are always an eagerly-awaited treat for the Le Mans 24-Hours crowd. The two evening practice session will beat the rhythm of English group Shake Shake Go’s pop music on Wednesday followed by Julien Perretta on Thursday. On race day, Saturday, the Shoes and the Avener will monopolise the big stage at the Le Mans 24 Hours and their electro sets will resound inside the circuit itself.
Between all these artists and the warm-up performers no fewer than eight music groups will perform on the stage installed beside the Dunlop Bridge.
Here are the details of the programme:

Shake Shake Go
Shake Shake Go is an English group based in London made up of Poppy (lyrics and songs), Virgile (guitar), Kilian (drums), and Toby (piano double bass). Their pop music took England by storm thanks to Poppy’s incredible voice for one so young with its mind-boggling range and it soon attracted a big following.
Their name was coined by a 6-year-old kid when the group was performing in the streets of London – Shake Shake Go - three words that echo like their music a power that breaks down inhibitions, gives the desire to seek freedom and creates living emotions.
In England they have warmed up for Dan Croll, King Charles and James Blunt before performing in the legendary Albert Hall in London. In France they have appeared at numerous festivals and filled the Boule Noire in Paris in February. Shake Shake Go is now getting ready to play everywhere in Europe.

Kazi Lambist
Twenty-three-year-old Arthur (his real Christian name) is from Montpellier. He has been composing since he was a kid. He’s an artist and a bit of an alchemist with his electro pop and his music doesn’t follow any of the well-trodden paths. It could perhaps be described as mind-blowing, dreamy, tropical, sunny, chill-wave…
Last September he won the much-coveted public prize at the Inrocks lab contest. On stage Kazi works in trio with base player, Amaury, and the singer Amoué, whose rich velvety voice marries itself perfectly with his.

The Shoes
The Shoes a French electro rock group from Reims was created in 2007 and consists of Guillaume and Benjamin. They are both writers, composers and producers and they released their first album Crack My Bones in 2011. Critics and the public gave it a rousing welcome and they did the same for their first pop singles, People Movin’ and Stay The Same followed by the unmissable Time To Dance, which got the whole planet dancing and has now become a cult record. The Shoes find their influence among what they like between coldwave, UK trance of the 90s, new wave and electro dance music. They then did a world tour before going back to producing and working on the albums of other artists.
At the end of 2015 they were back with the resolutely pop album Chemicals comprising ten numbers. The Chemicals universe makes a hard-hitting impact with its powerful visual elements and refined aesthetics.

The Avener
The Avener, whose name is Tristan, is a French electro-house DJ who comes from Nice. He made a name for himself in Europe in 2014 with his title Fade Out Lines, a remix of the songs of Phoebe Killdeer and the Short Straws which shot up the charts in several countries. He followed this up with the successful album The Wanderings of the Avener, a refined electro offering in the spirit of sampling nu-jazz from Saint Germain halfway between the sounds of Moby and Wankelmut, King Britt and Cassius. His light, dazzling style is seen abroad as a “so French elegance touch,” while affirming itself as the missing link between harmonic emotions and the urge to dance.
The Avener is no stranger to the world of endurance as he was the resident DJ at all the rounds of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship. Thus he has performed at all the tracks with the exception of the legendary Sarthe circuit, which is now done and dusted!
