Last year, Christian Klien was the reserve driver for Peugeot at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and this year he is part of the Aston Martin Racing team. Despite only a slim chance of victory; the Austrian driver is delighted to be back on track.

“Last year, it was frustrating to watch the race from the pits and I am very happy to compete this year. Of course, the car is still neither reliable nor fast enough but we have been testing since the Test Day. Last week we were in Monza and earlier in May we tested in Motorland, Aragon. The car has improved a lot, but the race is two or three months too early for us. The car is fun to drive and the chassis is good, but we need more power and reliability. It takes a lot time to make the straight-six engine reliable. I think that by the end of the season, we should have the pace.”
